Always Too Young to Stop

Read an inspirational article in the San Jose (CA) Mercury News Paper today about an 81 year young woman marathoner!

Joy Johnson recently completed her 21st consecutive New York Marathon, first place in her age-group, and improved her time by almost an hour from her 2007 time. To improve her time she increased her weekly mileage to around 40 miles and added interval training as well as running hills. I love this woman! Joy said that she isn't very competitive but proclaimed, "I enjoy my life......I'm a pretty happy camper. I always have been."

Dr. Walter Bortz of Stanford University and author of, "Dare to be 100," was interviewed and commented, "You're never too old to start being active, but you're always too young to stop [being active]." Here, here! Also, check out, http://www.walterbortz.com/

I'm going for a run tomorrow!
